The four-year Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (BFA) program begins with Foundation Year. Students advance into their major when they become sophomores (second-year students). Studio work is complemented by the Liberal Arts and Sciences curriculum throughout the four years. Students also participate in Integrated Learning (site-based research) courses.
Otis College of Art and Design is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC, 985 Atlantic Ave, Suite 100, Alameda, CA 94501, (510) 748 90010, and The National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). Otis is a member of The Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD).
