The four-year Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (BFA) program begins with Foundation Year. Students advance into their major in their second year. BFA degrees are offered in eleven majors: Advertising Design, Architecture/Landscape/Interiors, Digital Media (animation, game design, motion graphics, visual effects), Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Painting, Photography, Product Design, Sculpture/New Genres, and Toy Design. Studio work is complemented by the Liberal Arts and Sciences curriculum throughout the four years. In Integrated Learning (site-based) courses, student teams work with community partners to research, analyze, and propose design solutions.
Otis College of Art and Design is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC, 985 Atlantic Ave, Suite 100, Alameda, CA 94501, (510) 748 90010, and The National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). Otis is a member of The Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD).
