International Students

International students may apply to Otis by submitting these items:

1. Application form and non-refundable $60 fee

2. One-page essay (see How to Apply )

3. Portfolio (12-20 pieces of artwork) (see How to Apply)

4. Official academic transcripts from all high schools and universities/colleges attended (past and present)
These records must clearly state the date of completion and the level of education received. All transcripts must be official copies.
Please note that if your transcripts are not in English, you must request an official translation by a notary public and submit both the translated records and the original documents.

5. Official test scores

International students who are currently in high school and live in a country where English is the official language should take the SAT or the ACT, not the TOEFL test. For example, if you are a high school student living in the US, Canada, the UK, or Australia, please take the SAT or ACT.

International students who live in a country where English is not the official language should take the TOEFL test (Test of English as a Foreign Language), iELTS, or the Pearson Test of English. The minimum score accepted for the computer-based TOEFL exam is 213, a score of 79 for the iBT internet-based exam or a score of 550 for the paper-based exam. Institutional TOEFL scores are not accepted. The minimum score for the iELTS is a 6.5 overall band score. The minimum score for the Pearson Test of English is a 58.
