Learning Lab for Technology

Learning Lab for Technology
The Learning Lab for Technology is a computer lab open to Communication Arts students for a variety of technology instruction. The workshops and open lab hours supplement what students are already learning in class and help students navigate through current technology comfortably. Also, knowing that today’s programs and technology quickly become obsolete, the learning lab prepares students for the time when they are not in workshops or are out of school, giving them the tools and confidence to seek resources and answers to technology questions on their own. Learning opportunities include: software specific workshops, one-on-one instruction during open lab hours, and in-class training.

Workshops are offered during Practicum courses, Tuesday–Thursday and students are required to provide their Practicum teacher with a completed Workshop Attendance Form, prior to reporting to their first workshop meeting. Pick up a blank workshop attendance form in the Communication Arts Office or stop by the Learning Lab (Room 501A)
