Otis' MFA Public Practice Program and LACE co-host this day-long event with a Los Angeles-centric look at the burgeoning field of arts-based public projects and practices. Fifteen artists and collectives offer rapid-fire presentations to examine a range of arts approaches, followed by a series of peer-to-peer roundtable workshops. This is the concluding event in Street Smart, three events on public art, during the week.

This program is presented through Otis' MFA Public Practice’s educational events, a higher degree college program dedicated to furthering dialogue within the Los Angeles public arts community; and through LACE's current year-long initiative, PUBLIC INTEREST, a series of installations, artist residencies and interventions to showcase contemporary art, architecture and design practices that challenge standard notions of public space through creative actions.

Free and open to the public at LACE, 6522 Hollywood Blvd, L.A. 90068
(east of Highland, west of Cahunega)
