Communication Arts presents a lecture by visiting artist Kevin Bradley of Church of Type.
Fine Arts presents Hannah Whitaker, a photographer who received her BA from Yale University and MFA from Bard College. She has been featured in numerous shows at Galerie Christophe Gaillard in Paris, Thierry Goldberg Gallery in New York City, Y Gallery in Queens, and Kumukumu Gallery in New York City.

Fine Arts, Graduate Fine Arts, Santa Monica College Art Department, and the Santa Monica Associates present “ART CRITICISM IN THE EXPANDED FIELD,” a lecture by Roberta Smith, Fall 2013 Visiting Critic in FIne Arts. Smith, senior art critic at the New York TImes since 1986, will speak on the ways criticism has changed due to the effects of the internet, blogging and tweeting on writing "print" criticism for a daily newspaper, as well as the expansion of the art world itself and the kinds of art being made.
