Creative Action and NEIGHBORGAPBRIDGE/ GLOBAL CAFE present:
Pillow Wall: Community Resting Place, a site specific installation by Sophie Bertelsen in collaboration with Jessica Chung, Negin Farshadgohar, Joshua Hernandez, Joel Israel, Ben Kim, Angela Wong.

Stress has no borders and neither does the love of our beds.
We dream of them. We long for them. We take refuge in them.
Rest for a bit on our pillows.

Pillow cases, collected from local yard sales, were screen printed with text collected from community responses to “Tell me about your bed.” Translations courtesy of our Otis International Community. This one week Otis Global Cafe installation will travel to the Downtown Women’s Center in time for Christmas, where the pillows will be donated to the women’s shelter.

NEIGHBORGAPBRIDGE is a global community building initiative, and a Creative Action class taught by Patty Kovic and Michele Jaquis in parnership with the Otis Center for International Education.
