This ten-week course covers the materials and techniques needed to transform an ordinary piece of furniture into a work of art.
Through demonstration and hands-on experience students learn techniques including Pyrography, Victorian Penwork, Decoupage, Mosaic/Pique Assiette, Eggshell inlay, gilding, stenciling, tinwork, aging, and frottage.
Students create unique ìone of a kindî pieces, while focusing on conceptual, aesthetic, and design possibilities.
