Grantwriting for Artists with Linda Vallejo

Join acclaimed artist and instructor, Linda Vallejo, as she guides you through the steps of raising funds for individual arts projects as well as non-profit arts organizations. The first day focuses on learning how to search for individual artist grants, fellowships, and residencies, and how to complete a full grant proposal package including artist statement, resume and bio, proposed program narrative and budget. The second day focuses on how to work effectively as a grantwriting professional for arts organizations, institutions, and agencies with lessons focused on how to research and organize “good match” funding sources. Also covers how to write compelling need statements, measurable objectives, and evaluation plans, as well as how to create accurate budgets. Participants have an opportunity to submit draft proposal materials to the instructor to receive valuable suggestions for improvement.
