Fashion Styling for Photography, Film & Television

This course is designed for enthusiastic visual communicators who wish to specialize as stylists for photographers or work in the costume design industry. A stylist creates an ìimageî or ìmoodî by shopping for wardrobe and accessories for photo shoots, fashion shows, editorial magazines, music videos, and commercials. Course provides hands-on experience on how to choose clothing, accessories, and props, as well as what a client expects of a working stylist. Also covers casting, shooting, budgets, and locations. Students develop technical and creative skills which allow them to create, manipulate, and re-work imagery to communicate ideas.

Prerequisite: None

First Class materials: Note-taking materials, additional materials TBD.
