  • “Foregrounds” is a show exploring how we listen to sounds. It utilizes field recordings by blending songs and spoken word pieces with the soundscapes in which we listen to them – whether it be played along with Los Angeles traffic, the sound of a meal being prepared, or waves at the beach. Presented by DJ Derek (Corn), DJ Nasera (Alayon), DJ Max (Miles) of the Otis Radio class.

    The annual Scholarship Benefit and Fashion Show at the Beverly Hilton Hotel is L.A.'s largest runway show. Featuring student designs created with mentors during the 2013-14 year, the show raises $1 million for student scholarships. Awardees this year include Leon Max, Michael Egeck, and Isabel and Ruben Toledo.

Drafting II


Students continue exploring the drafting methods and techniques learned in Drafting I, to create floor plans and elevation views for commercial interior design. In this course students further develop their drafting skills in order to create effective interior design plans. Explores how to incorporate design ideas into a practical plan format to fully realize the interior concept. Emphasis is on developing design concepts for commercial applications including office, restaurant, and retail spaces.

Prerequisite: Drafting I

First Class Materials: one each of the following – 14” 30-60 STD triangle, 8” 45 Degree STD triangle, 12” triangle (Arch Hand Scale), H Mars-Lumograph pencil, 2H Mars-Luograph pencil, Sanford Tuff Stuff eraser, Sanford Tuff Stuff Eraser Refill (2-Pak), erasing shield, Ames Lettering Guide, Pocket Pal Template, 8 sheets of 24”x36”, 16lb. plain clearprt Vellum, 1 roll of Drafting Dots.
