Continuing Education Course

Inspired Design - Creating the World We Want: Ages 9-12

Designers are artists who help shape our world. In this course, students create their version of the future through exercises in architectural, entertainment, industrial, and graphic design. Design projects such as "My Own House", "Toy Robot Concepts", "Spaceships from Another Planet", "A New Super Hero", and "My Secret Symbol" encourage creativity and imagination. Students develop preliminary sketches and use mixed media to create strong colorful presentations of their ideas. Individual portfolio pages are combined into young designer portfolios, which students take home at end of course.

First class materials: $35 lab fee payable to the instructor for supplies.

Please note: At the Goldsmith Campus, students check in at the Security Desk on the first day of class.
