Eileen Cowin is an artist who sees living as a means to break boundaries, and psychology as a way to confront us with strange attitudes or to implicate us in seemingly self-imposed spatial confinements. –Art Papers April 2007 by Eve Wood

Continuing Education Course

SEM: 40

Artists, Inventors, Makers of the Future: Ages 9-12

Design the future, learn about new urban architecture in Los Angeles, and get inspired by this city’s historical buildings. In this course, you’ll invent a new mode of transportation, a park in the sky, or even a zero-carbon school house. Build your ideas out of basic materials such as cardboard, recyclables, and found objects. This course is an art inventor intensive, for the creative kids of today.

First class materials: $35 lab fee payable to the instructor for supplies.

IMPORTANT: • All Young Artist Workshop (YAW) students are required to submit a completed YAW Emergency Information Form and Policies and Procedures Acknowledgement of Receipt (last page) prior to admittance into the classroom. Students will not be permitted to attend without this.
• Course is held at the Otis Mid-Wilshire Studio (6124 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90048)
