On November 9, 2011, Otis presented the fifth annual LAEDC report on the Creative Economy of the Los Angeles Region, "Investing in our Creative Capital," at the Colburn School. More than 300 business, education and cultural leaders leaders attended. "The creative economy is undeniably important to the region's economic growth," stated LAEDC"s Chief Economist Nancy Sidhu. "About 642,3000 employees work directly or indirectly in the creative economy of Los Angeles and Orange counties." The Report also projects that total creative industry employment will increase by 4.3% by 2015 in the Region.
