The Academic Assembly is an important part of the overall system of campus governance. The Assembly, together with the Faculty Senate, form a faculty governance structure in which faculty engage in discussion and consultation, and participate in the operation of the college for the purpose of providing the highest quality education available.
The Academic Assembly does its work through a number of standing committees, which bring recommendations on policy and procedures to the Assembly as a whole for consideration and review. The Assembly is a key advisory body which makes recommendations to the Provost for review by the Senior Staff.
Meeting agendas and minutes are kept within O-Space. All faculty have access, but login is required. Please send any agenda items to the Co-Chairs one week in advance.
