Overview
"Submission" is a new tab in your O-Space course. At the end of the semester, we are asking for your students to complete an LeP Submission where they select the work they have posted on their Learning ePortfolios for your class.
When a student completes the LeP Submission, the system will take a snapshot of the student's Learning ePortfolio page(s) as "evidence". If a student later changes the page(s) (such as fixing typos or deleting the entire e-portfolio), instructors will still have access to this original evidence. In addition, the submissions are time-stamped.
Submitting ensures the creation of an archive of the student work and will allow the department to collect data for assessment of LAS courses. Since students can submit only once, it is reccomended they wait and submit when the work is finished.
How To Create A Submission Assignment
A submission assignment is a nice way to collect student work on the Learning ePortfolio so you don't have to navigate to each individual ePortfolio page.
Note: Faculty teaching specific LAS core courses (Visual Culture, English 104 & 106, Cultural Studies, ILML 200 and Capstone) will already have a submission assignment prebuilt into their respective O-Space Courses.
Faculty Tracking
The Submission Grid lets you easily track which students have completed the task. It is important that students submit the work for your course on their Learning ePortfolios.
Blue boxes indicate students who have not yet submitted their work; yellow boxes mean that they have.
View Submission
On the Submission Grid, click on the yellow box next to the student’s name. A window will pop up; click on the Step 1 link. This page will appear:
