Saul Alvarez is a native Angelino, born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. He studied visual art & sociology at UC Irvine where he earned his BA in studio art in 2003. He went on to receive his MFA from CalArts in 2007. He exhibited regularly soon after graduation both nationally and abroad. For three years he taught in the Art History department at Woodbury University before accepting a full time position at Otis College of art and design in the TSS department.
