Hi there! I’m Andie Munroe – a Toy Designer/Storyteller originally from Seattle, Washington, but currently based in Los Angeles, California! I am a hard-working, driven artist, skilled in project management, research, and working under pressure. I am motivated and high-energy, seeking opportunities to gain experience in the toy design field and passionate about exploring sustainable design through this! As a former teacher, working with kids from 6 weeks to 13 years old, I am determined to design toys that will encourage people to explore their imagination, aiming to make toys for people of all ages.

The Lil’ Helpers is a girl’s doll line for ages 3+ that will provide a platform for the importance of community involvement, the love of sisterhood and friendship, and a different kind of superhero!

Each Lil’ Helpers sister is sold separately and will come with accessories specialized to their talent! Every doll will have sculpted hair for tighter snaps for hair accessories, with 7-9 points of articulation.

The Slinky Dog Toy Car is a pull toy for ages 3+ to store toys on the go! 

Made through vacuum forming, the Slinky Dog Toy Car includes magnets on the inside of the springs to keep the cart snapped together. Push buttons will activate pre-recorded quotes from the movie Toy Story! The dog leash can be detachable when not on the move!

The Otis College Centennial Owl was designed this past year in celebration of the Centennial Anniversary of Otis College of Art and Design. The parameters of the plush were to design an owl that represented every department at the college. My design was picked and professionally manufactured out of China to be sold in stores as a representation of our school! I was involved in the design and manufacturing process, creating turnarounds, PMS callouts, embroidery artwork, and communicating with manufacturers in regard to design changes. Approximately 2,000 plush were created to be sold to the public and are currently on shelves!

In a world of stuffed animals, Charlie the teddy bear, decides one day that he does not want to be as stuffed animal anymore. He wants to be like all of the other animals in the world; running around freely living their lives. So, he packs up and leaves his home to pursue a life in the city. Being a stuffed animal and having stitching around his body, he must disguise himself; and through this, takes a job as a chef at a pizzeria, where he meets his new friend Oliver the duck. Being unable to purchase a home, Charlie creates his own.
