Bec

The process for the creation of the purse inspired the form.  The vegetable tanned leather (undyed) was moulded over a rounded woodblock, as the handle pressed and locked the leather to frame the body of the purse.

Embrace

Embrace is an adaptive cerebral palsy chair design that is currently being developed for the Jacaranda School for Orphans Physiotherapy clinic in Blantyre, Malawi. Embrace chairs are a template-able design made to be constructed by the caregiver in order to help promote their understanding and involvement in their child’s condition.

Reimagined child's play. 

This project aims to rediscover the curiosity and playfulness of mundane, organic, and abstract forms. This allows children to participate in unstructured play, letting them use their creativity to associate their own thoughts and usage to their creations. 

Made of Maple, it can be painted on by children. 
 

Tö

Tö is a modular walking aid, that can be used as a cane and walking stick.Tö is designed to increase comfortable independence for people with mobility loss.  

The product focuses on providing stability and comfort with its low-pressure point, comfortable handle and its self-standing foot.

Gems 

Parting from your stuff can be difficult, especially if it reminds you of a memory or period of your life.

Being able to gift something meaningful to someone who wants it and will care for it, is reassuring. The app Gems was originally designed to help the elder part with their material past. However, the app is can also be used to alleviate the separation anxiety of a person and their possessions during transitional periods of life by creating a community of caring receivers. 

Frost

Inspired by a twig caught in a stream, this bathroom shelf has a rotating teak towel holder caught in a still current of resin. As the bathroom gets steamy, the resin defrosts and becomes clear.

Noyau

It's nice to have control, but it's also nice to design with the element of surprise.

I was inspired by microscopic cell formations, as I was using what had once been the living cells of a cuttlefish to carve the ring. Paying homage to the ancient jewelry-making technique, I let the imprecision of the material and the molten bronze carve its paths into the form, creating rounded edges and organic forms.
