Hello, my name is Kira Kallas and I am a Digital Media student graduating from Otis in May, 2020 with a Bachelors in Fine Arts in Digital Media, with an emphasis in Game & Entertainment Design. I am a concept artist and creature designer with a passion for games and animation, and I strive to tell engaging stories through my work. I work digitally in 2D, 3D, and in Virtual Reality, and I am proficient with Zbrush, Maya, and several of the major Adobe pipeline programs (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, After Effects). Additionally, I make use of the Oculus headset and Google Tiltbrush for my work in VR.

The goal of this project was to utilize the stylized, illustrative properties of Google Tiltbrush to create what was essentially an "explorable painting" within virtual reality. The environment the viewer would explore is a desert habitat on an alien world, populated by its native flora and fauna. Pictured here is a closeup of one of the large, predatory creatures that could be found within the environment.
