We welcome and support transfer students at first and second-semester sophomore, and junior levels! First-semester sophomores and juniors may start in fall or spring semester. Second-semester sophomores may start in spring or summer semester. Students may transfer at SOPHOMORE level in spring, as well as fall, semester through Architecture/Landscape/Interiors JUMP-START path. Students transferring as SOPHOMORES in January 2018 may earn a B.F.A. in May 2020, in just 2-1/3 years of full-time study. You can download more information about the JUMP-START path.

Students may transfer at JUNIOR level in spring, as well as fall, semester through Architecture/Landscape/Interiors JUNIOR-JUMP path. Students transferring as JUNIORS in January 2018 may earn a B.F.A. in May 2019, in just 1-1/3 years of full-time study. You can download more information about the JUNIOR-JUMP path.

The quality of the Architecture / Landscape / Interiors major is affirmed by our Advanced-standing Agreements, which allow graduates to start in the second year of three-year Master of Architecture I programs. Several A/L/I alumni have earned their Master of Architecture degrees in this manner: Jesus Aguilar (UIC 2016), Cristina Barrios (Woodbury 2008), Dolly Davis (UIC 2011), Justin Kim (USC 2013), Julia Sieh (USC 2017), and Sam Tanis (UIC 2013). Boo Y. Yang began Master of Landscape Architecture studies with advanced standing at the University of Washington, Seattle in fall 2016.
