Environmental Design supports transfers with multiple points of entry and accelerated schedules!

JUMP-THROUGH - Architecture/Landscape/Interiors only
2 years - 6 semesters
JUMP-THROUGH is an accelerated schedule that allows first-semester sophomores to start in fall and complete their degree in 2 years - 6 semesters, including 2 summers. Second-semester sophomore transfers may join this path as well in spring semester.

JUNIOR JUMP  - Architecture/Landscape/Interiors and Interiors + Furniture
1-1/3 years - 4 semesters
JUNIOR JUMP allows first-semester juniors (who missed fall entry) to start in spring and complete their degree in 1-1/3 years - 4 consecutive semesters, the following spring!

The final JUMP is to graduate school with advanced standing!
The quality of the Environmental Design major is affirmed by our +2 Advanced-standing Agreements, which allow graduates to start in the second year of three-year Master of Architecture I programs. Several alumni have earned their Master of Architecture degrees in this manner: Jesus Aguilar (UIC 2016), Billal Ashai (USC 2020), Cristina Barrios (Woodbury 2008), Dolly Davis (UIC 2011), Justin Kang (USC 2013), Pinky Lam (USC 2021), Julia Sieh (USC 2017), and Sam Tanis (UIC 2013). Architecture/Landscape/Interiors negotiated a new Advanced-standing Agreement with California College of the Arts in spring 2019! In addition, Boo Y. Yang ('08) completed a Master of Landscape Architecture with advanced standing at the University of Washington, Seattle in 2018.
