Fashion design students in their Junior and Senior years work with distinguished mentors who propose level-appropriate projects to develop in their Design course, then produce in 3D form in their Studio courses.
In 2018-2019, the Junior class had the option of selecting from two different mentor projects in the field of active sportswear and dresses: Adidas in collaboration with AGRON, and Bao Tranchi. The Senior class worked with industry professionals from the luxury sportswear market and evening wear, with an emphasis in costume design. Mentors included Jason Wu, Ralph Lauren, Vince, Eduardo Castro and B. Akerlund.

Bao is an Otis Alumni who designs a high fashion luxury brand that redefines how we worship and display the Female Form. Bao is also known for being a celebrity stylist/designer. Her outfits have been worn by Jennifer Lopez, Nikki Minaj, and Brittney Spears.

Eduardo Castro is an Emmy Winner for contemporary/fantasy costume designs in film and television shows for ABC's Once Upon a Time and Ugly Betty.

Jason Wu is a New York based fashion designer known for his classic American sportswear collections with a refined couture sensibility. Jason is a internationally celebrated designer known for the inaugural outfits he created for first lady Michelle Obama. This project was sponsored by Madworkshop.
