The BFA Fine Arts Department presents the Visiting Artist Lecture Series with Dawn Kim.
Dawn Kim (b. 1989) received her MFA from the Yale School of Art in New Haven, CT and her BFA from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. Her work examines (mis)recorded histories to better understand the complexities of the everyday. Taking on forms of video, artist’s books, and performance lectures, her work attempts to make visible the systems that have been hidden, forgotten, or overlooked.
Her work has been shown in solo and group shows internationally, including contemporary art center Para Site in Hong Kong, Luke Glanton Gallery in Amsterdam, and recently a commissioned site-specific installation at the Windows on Latimer at The Print Center in Philadelphia, PA.
