The Fine Arts Department presents the Visiting Artist Lecture Series with Naotaka Hiro. 

Naotaka Hiro (b. 1972 in Osaka, Japan) received his MFA from the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, CA, and BFA from UCLA in Los Angeles, CA. His multimedia practice, spanning painting, sculpture, and video, confronts the body’s capabilities and unknowable spaces. He lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.

His work has been exhibited internationally, including shows at The Box, Los Angeles, CA; Misako & Rosen, Tokyo, Japan; Brennan & Griffin, New York, NY; Shane Campbell Gallery, Chicago, IL; and group exhibitions at Armory Center for the Arts, Pasadena, CA; Hauser & Wirth, New York, NY; and La Ferme du Buisson Centre d'Art Contemporain, Paris, France.
