Roger Balen Moments in the Life of Roger the Rat

Roger Ballen (b. 1950 in New York, NY) studied psychology at University of California, Berkeley and has lived and worked in South Africa for over 30 years.

Ballen is the recipient of countless awards and has exhibited internationally—locations include the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens, Greece; Gagosian Gallery, New York; Arken Museum of Modern Art, Ishoj, Denmark; Modern Art Museum Gebre Kristos Desta Center, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; and the Museum of Fine Arts Ekaterinburg Foto Summer, Russia, to name a few.
