Otis College Fine Arts graduate student Shirin Bolourchi is curating an exhibition at the Otis' Graduate Studios.
Modern society and technology defines us as individuals. We can all perceive the same event at the same time, yet our recollection and experience of the event will be unique for each individual.Since we all bring our own life's experiences to how we see a shared reality, this questions then what is reality; is it of our own making, or do things such as advertising, where you grew up,whom you socialize with manufacture your reality? Is reality simply a simulation? If we don't, with our own senses experience something does it even exist? The artists in Metamorphosis to Catharsis explore this concept. Each has their own vision, their own visual vocabulary to how they perceive the world.
The arts will be on display at OTIS graduate department main gallery space(Crit Room).
