Solar glare, radiation, solar flares, meteors, and space debris...there are many physical conditions and materials to consider when designing for space. This interactive 3-day workshop introduces career opportunities in this burgeoning industry for design professionals, product designers, set designers, and entertainment professionals. Topics include space experience design in the context of human-centered design; design issues related to contamination and safety, movement, physical issues and more. During the workshop, students will identify an area of interest, test needs and feasibility, create a design prompt, and ideate design solutions.
