Otis College Extension

In this class, participants will learn a variety of Kirigami folding and cutting methods to create Autumn-themed symmetrical and asymmetrical leaf shapes to make a Leaf Character (person, animal, insect, dinosaur, imaginary creature). As cutting is free-hand, pencils are not advised.

Scissor Supervision: Child(ren) should use age appropriate scissors. Depending upon the child’s age and cutting ability, adult supervision is essential. Thick novelty scissor cutters are not recommended. Adults are advised to supervise the creative space the child uses to ensure that it is safe and free from harmful objects. Adults are advised to be available for unexpected internet difficulties or problems using scissors. The instructor of this online class will explain Scissor Education and proper scissors usage, but adult supervision of the safe use of scissors in the home is paramount and the responsibility of the adult who is present at home.
