Dean Sameshima is a Berlin-based, American artist whose work explores the history of gay male histories, subcultures, and pleasure through the lens of documentary photography, painting, video, and installation and is currently in a group show at O-Town House, Los Angeles, titled "Pathologically Social," organized by Mark Verabioff.
Recent solo exhibitions include 647(d) at Gavlak Gallery, Los Angeles, 647(a) at Peres Projects, Berlin, Germany, and Public Sex, organized by Andy Campbell, She Works Flexible Gallery, Houston, TX. Recent groups shows include History of Sexuality at Museu de Arte (MASP), São Paulo Brazil, Art, AIDS, America at the Bronx Museum, New York, Naming Rights, Thomas Dane Gallery, London, UK.
