Graduate Fine Arts Lecture: Margo Victor

Margo Victor lives and works in Los Angeles, California and received her BFA at the California Institute of the Arts. Her work has been exhibited at Kunstlerhaus Stuttgart and Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam; Happy Lion in Chinatown, Los Angeles, California; Cirrus Gallery in Los Angeles; Elizabeth Dee Gallery in New York. Victor's curatorial projects include Margo Victor Presents, an alternative exhibition space in Los Angeles for artists, and In 2006 Victor was invited to the Wexner Center for the Arts, Art & Tech program to complete her film The Rotten Riotous West, 2006 which will debut in Europe at Open Space, Cologne, 2007 this April.

?Victor works in a wide range of media including 16 and 35 mm film as well as painting, photography and drawing. Victor's minimal and non-conclusion oriented work in film celebrates the alternative, with regard to the positions of power that women must create within society.
