Belinda McKinney has been with Bon Appétit for nearly a decade. The past 6 of those years has been as an Executive Chef at educational accounts such as Woodbury University School of Fashion & Design in Burbank and most recently Marymount California University in Rancho Palos Verdes. Belinda,or just "B"; as she prefers to be addressed; admits that in the beginning of her career working at educational units, her culinary knowledge was challenged as she considered the palate of the younger generation with multifaceted cultural and religious backgrounds. However those challenges quickly became an opportunity to introduce one another to the Global cuisine of their peers. B. enjoys interacting with the students and including them in menu engineering.This allows the students to bring their traditions & comforts to the table. This is by far the greatest pleasure of her career. She looks forward to getting to know the Otis community!
