Beatriz Cortez is a Los Angeles based artist and scholar. Cortez received her MFA from California Institute of the Arts and a Ph.D. in Latin American Literature from Arizona State University. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Texas, Washington, Minneapolis, Miami, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Ecuador, and China. She is the recipient of the 2018 Rema Hurt Mann Foundation Fellowship and continues to show her sculpture all around the world.
