Tarrah Krajnak was born in Lima, Peru in 1979. She is currently an Associate Professor of Photography at Pitzer College in Claremont, CA. Krajnak has exhibited nationally and internationally at Honor Fraser Gallery,      Houston Center for Photography, SUR Biennial Los Angeles, Silver Eye Center for Photography, Center for Photography Woodstock, SF Camerawork, Philadelphia Photographic Arts Center, Photo Madrid, Unseen Amsterdam, Art London, Art Basel Miami, and The National Museum of Women in the Arts. Recently her work was reviewed in ArtForum, Glasstire, and Contemporary Art Review Los Angeles. She received grants from the Arizona Commission on the Arts, Texas Photographic Society, Vermont Community Foundation, and most recently from the Harpo Foundation. She was recently selected as a 2020 Artist in Residence at LightWork and has a forthcoming solo performance at the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery in Washington DC in Spring 2020. Her first monograph is forthcoming with TBW books.
