Nina Revoyr

Nina Revoyr is the author of Southland, a Los Angeles Times bestseller and “Best Book” of 2003 and winner of the Lambda Literary Award in 2004, and five other novels including most recently A Student of History, as well as The Age of Dreaming, which was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, Wingshooters, which won an Indie Booksellers Choice Award and was selected by O Magazine as one of “10 Titles to Pick Up Now.” Revoyr was a longtime executive vice president and chief operating officer of a nonprofit organization serving children affected by violence and poverty in Los Angeles. She now works in philanthropy, as part of an effort to improve economic mobility for low-income children and their families. She has been an Associate Faculty member at Antioch University, and a Visiting Professor at Cornell University, Occidental College, Pitzer College, and Pomona College.
