Natalie Häusler, born in 1983 in Munich, lives and works in Berlin. In the recent years solo presentations were shown, among others, by the Berlin gallery Supportico Lopez (2015), at Combo in Córdoba (ESP), at M1 – Arthur Boskamp Stiftung in Hohenlockstedt (2013) as well as at the Bard College in New York (USA, 2011). Furthermore she was represented in group exhibitions most recently at the gallery Kavi Gupta in Chicago (USA), at Raven Row in London (UK) (both 2015), at the Kunstverein Nürnberg as well as at the Kunstverein Tiergarten in Berlin (both 2014).

Many of her works are ultimately shaped in relation to architectural space and can be viewed according to expanded notions of painting and poetry. Häusler links pictorial, sculptural, auditory and performative elements, which are solidified in the exhibition space as expansive and accessible environments. Her texts, paintings and objects initially evolve independently but then determine each other in the way they are subsequently presented. The artist writes poems based on her immediate surroundings, which she then embeds into her work using various languages, media and materials.
