Anna Ogier-Bloomer joined Otis in the fall of 2020 after nearly 15 years as a leader in arts career services. She is an exhibiting artist and an educator who works to further the careers of creatives through dynamic programming, industry partnerships, and comprehensive resources to support the unique professional lives of artists and designers. Through roles at the School of Visual Arts and Parsons School of Design in New York City, she has produced career programs and collaborations with art and design icons across industries, local and national arts organizations, public agencies, and corporations. Anna trained as a Fulbright Program Advisor with the Institute for International Education in Washington, D.C. She is committed to supporting the needs of diverse audiences and creating equity within the fields of art and design.
Anna has served as graduate studio faculty in the School of Visual Arts, taught professional practices at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and SVA, and was an adjunct Associate Professor of Photography at The City University of New York. She is the 2021 co-chair of the College Art Association’s Services to Artists Committee. Her work has been published and exhibited widely, including features in The Huffington Post and The Daily Mail, residencies at The Wassaic Project and The Feminist Incubator at Project for Empty Space, and exhibitions natinally. She holds an MFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design, an MPS in Digital Photography from the School of Visual Arts, and a BFA from SMFA at Tufts University.
Currently working remotely from Chicago, Anna will relocate to Los Angeles in December 2020. She is a Midwesterner/New Yorker at heart and a mother of two wild children. In her spare time she works on her photographic practice, attends art openings, and recently picked up needlepoint.

Katie has been a career and professional development counselor in higher education for over 13 years and has worked closely alongside college students from diverse, under resourced backgrounds to ensure that all students have access and equity as a part of their professional dreams and passions. She works with students one-on-one, in the classroom, and in group settings where she focuses on assisting students in identifying and articulating the value of their education and background within the creative economy. She consistently strives to be a leader who is focused on producing civic-minded, empathetic, innovative thinkers ready to take on the challenges of the future for the betterment of society as a whole. Katie received her Masters of Science in Counseling with a Specialization in Student Development in Higher Education from California State University Long Beach and obtained her Bachelor of Arts in History, Sociology and Political Science from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
Katie grew up in Santa Ana, CA before moving to Boston to attend college and then back to Long Beach. She loves walking her two dogs, MookieMan and Lola Maria, hiking with them on the weekends, and going paddleboarding with them. Katie is an avid athlete, including soccer, volleyball, track and field, surfing, and loves to travel, particularly to international destinations. She has been to 6 continents, 34 countries, and 43 states. She also loves to read about neuroscience to further engage in learning and understanding the human experience.
April works closely with employers and industry professionals to create opportunities for Otis students and alumni to build their professional network and connect to jobs and internships. She supports students, alumni, and employers in accessing the Otis Job Board and in connecting them through employer information sessions, on-campus recruiting, and more. She also manages the Otis Career Services social media accounts.
April received a M.Ed. in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs from the University of Southern California and a B.S. in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Management and Human Resources from Cal Poly Pomona. She is committed to the personal and professional development of students and is an advocate for equitable opportunities and learning. She brings along her wide range of experiences from cultural identity centers, community engagement, higher administration, student activities, peer mentorship, orientation, research, and admissions from schools and organizations including CalPoly Pomona, Pacific Oaks College, USC, Mount St. Mary’s University, and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators.
She grew up in Los Angeles and has a background in architecture, fine arts, and performing arts. She enjoys exploring the city, hiking, watching movies and food & lifestyle vlogs, board games, making and eating food (especially Filipino desserts!), dogs, and wholesome memes.
Bernard Pollard - On Campus Employment Coordinator

Bernard is the resident expert on student employment and international students’ OPT at Otis. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, and worked at the University of California at Los Angeles prior to joining Otis in 2016. Before entering academia, Bernard spent 20 years in film and television marketing, working directly with entertainment companies throughout LA’s professional creative community, helping organize the work and contributions of artists to graphic design, motion graphics, outdoor advertising, merchandising, film & TV production. This gives him a unique insight that he brings to his role in supporting and preparing future artists & creative workers at Otis.
