The following departments will be virtually accessible during the current campus closure. Academic Advising

Join Academic Advising virtually through Zoom online:

Monday and Wednesday: 2:00-4:00 p.m. PST, Thursday and Friday: 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. PST 

 

Overseas Students: If your country blocks access to the Zoom.us web address, please visit the Zoom website in your home country and download the Zoom app to your mobile or smart device. Then, open the Zoom app and enter the meeting ID (987 123 6789) to join. For example, students in living in China can access Zoom at Zoom.cn.

If you would like to schedule an individual appointment with Academic Advising, please schedule appointment through Otis Insight.

Appointments can be arranged to occur through Zoom or by phone. Students can contact the Interim Director of Academic Advising, Anabel Arrazola, by emailing advising@otis.edu for additional questions or concerns regarding advising.


Career Services

The Office of Career Services is fully open and operational to serve all students virtually. Please contact us via email (for general questions) or through the Job Board/Career Portal (for appointments, jobs, events, etc.). Appointments will be conducted virtually via Zoom, just schedule your appointment through the Career Portal and you will be sent your career counseling Zoom meeting link directly.

Virtual or Phone Appointments:

Almost all inquires, including Leave of Absence/Withdrawal, CPT Inquiry, I-20 Extension, and travel and re-entry can be scheduled online to meet through Zoom or by phone.

Travel Signatures on I-20: Each signature on your I-20 is valid for one academic year. If you require a new travel signature, it is acceptable to depart the U.S. first to your overseas destination. Contact the One Stop at onestop@otis.edu afterwards and we can assist you with the travel signature endorsement.


OPT Request: If you are a graduating F-1 international student for spring 2020 and have not yet applied for OPT, please check your email for specific instructions, or contact the PDSO for complete information. MFA Graphic Design students completing their program in summer 2020 will be notified of the OPT request procedures by email in the near future. 


Library

    • Important! Use the links provided on the Catalog and Databases page because they provide off-campus access.
    • The book bin will be emptied on the morning of March 20th, then locked until the campus re-opens.
    • There is a 30-day grace period for overdue fines.

Students experiencing financial hardship due to special circumstances from family, loss of employment by family members, medical expenses, technology-related expenses, or all other situations due to COVID-19, may schedule an appointment with One Stop Director, Michaela Matsumoto.
