Last Updated: Tuesday, May 19, 2020.

Students and faculty at Otis College finished classes on May 5th with a well-earned sense of accomplishment.  Resilience, flexibility and creativity were visible in the work produced across all majors and programs.

The College celebrated the graduation of the class of 2020 on May 10th with the launch of the commencement website. Watch the valedictory address by Phuong Pham, the commencement address by the Honorary Doctorate Recipient Enrique Martinez Celaya, and messages from the Interim President Randy Lavender, Incoming President Charles Hirschhorn, Board Chair Mei-Lee Ney, and the Interim Provost Kim Russo.

The College also launched the 38th Annual Exhibition as a wholly virtual gallery.  The exhibition features work from graduating seniors and graduate students.  Please visit the gallery at otis.edu/annual-exhibition/2020 to see projects from across the college’s academic departments.

As we reflect on the unprecedented conditions under which Otis College continued to deliver its high caliber art and design education remotely, faculty and students are asked to provide feedback on their experiences during this time.  There is so much to learn about teaching and learning, student needs and support, and faculty needs and support.  We want to hear from you.  Your feedback will help guide our planning for the Fall 2020 semester.  Look in your Otis email for links to the surveys.

Every part of the College has begun to plan for the Fall semester including the Academic Division.  We’re considering all of the challenges that the current pandemic poses and all of the opportunities.  The College will communicate it’s plans in the coming weeks as they take form.
