Color Theory & Design

Color is emotional. Color is a marketing tool. So, artists and designers alike must communicate effectively with the hues they choose. In this course, knowledge and understanding of color are developed through weekly exercises and homework projects using gouache. Through lecture, demonstration, critique, and practical experience, students investigate color theory, color in the environment both natural and human-made, and more.

Prerequisite: None. May be taken concurrently with Fundamentals of 2-Dimensional Design

Course Materials:  Will be discussed with instructor during the first class meeting.
