Digital Photography I (Online)
Take creative control of your digital camera and learn the techniques of digital photography. Whether it’s fine art, portraits, or street photography, this course provides the tools and knowledge to confidently shoot with a digital camera in manual mode. Students work with their own DSLR or mirrorless digital cameras to master the essentials of composition, exposure, and shooting in various lighting conditions (day and night). This course also introduces Adobe Lightroom for editing and organizing digital images as well as planning workflows to help complete projects.
Prerequisites: XPHO2010 Introduction to Photography or equivalent experience.
Please note: This course takes place completely online in an asynchronous environment. Login information will be provided within 72 hours prior to class.
Materials List: Digital SLR camera or digital mirrorless camera with capability to function in fully manual settings, save images in RAW file format, and accept interchangeable lenses.
