Fundamentals of 2-Dimensional Design

Line, space, balance, value, texture, perspective—these are just a few of the elements and principles that designers engage with to create strong design solutions. This course provides a thorough introduction through the understanding and application of important aspects of design. Through weekly assignments using pen and ink, this course builds confidence in hand skills for both beginners and professionals. Students conceive and produce a final project in their area of interest. The course includes studio time, instructor lectures, and critique.
