Space Planning

What is space planning? A part of interior design, it’s the analysis of how a residential, commercial or public space will be used. This includes the space’s purpose as well as occupancy, circulation, and accessibility. This course covers the utilization of space, from rooms to buildings, as well as general zoning requirements. Students will produce several floor plans and quick renderings of public spaces finalized by adding all necessary furniture and equipment.

Prerequisite: XINT7010 Introduction to Interior Design; XGRD5012 Fundamentals of 2D Design

Strongly Recommended: XINT7200 Drafting I; XINT7016 Perspective Drawing
