Figurative Painting Techniques

Channel the figurative painter within and learn exactly how it is done. In this course, students explore this painting technique on panels or canvas in both traditional and nontraditional styles. Topics include using different brushes, layering oil and acrylic paints and glazes, and transferring drawings. Course includes painting from a live model, demonstrations, lectures, and assignments that show the step-by-step process of developing a figurative painting in oil or acrylics.

Prerequisites: Drawing and Composition or equivalent experience
