Introduction to Fashion Design

The world of fashion and apparel design is rapidly changing with the global concerns of sustainability. In this course students formulate a global perspective of the current fashion world. Their talent and creativity are nurtured and developed to build a solid foundation in ethical apparel design, manufacturing, marketing, and distribution. Global suppliers, apparel manufacturers, technological changes, and possible career opportunities are also explored. Students are encouraged to investigate—even question—this ever-evolving industry and the retail market it serves.
