Textile Surface Design IIIA
Design your professional path working in surface and textile design. In this course, students work on more complex design problems and expand on their individual career goals. Working with the instructor on a one-on-one basis, students complete comprehensive design solutions for collections for a specific industry such as fashion, home décor, or specific niche markets such as baby/kids. Three collections will include a minimum of ten prints each and product mock-ups for home furnishings, paper, and stationery, tabletop, wall coverings, rugs and more. Students will prepare a final portfolio combining work from all classes. Professional practices will be discussed resumes, job hunting, interviewing, working with agents, freelancing and licensing.
