Hat Making: Sculptural Headpieces and Covered Frames

Designing a clothing collection or simply curious about the art of hat making? In this progressive course, beginning and intermediate students learn traditional millinery techniques used to create glamorous or whimsical custom-made headwear for the runway, cocktail parties, weddings, the races, or any special occasion. This engaging course also covers foundation construction, fabric-covering techniques, working with sculptural materials, millinery stitches, trimming, and finishing techniques.
