Botanical Illustration in Watercolor: Seasonal Fall Subject Matter - Seed Pods, Ornamental Squash, and Gourds

Fall is a wonderful time to draw and paint squashes, gourds, and seed pods. This course covers the fundamentals for rendering 3-dimensional plant forms on paper in transparent watercolor. Exercises include applications of paint medium to achieve a photographic effect, form exercises, a value painting, and a color study.

Prerequisite: It is helpful to have some prior knowledge of botanical illustration techniques although it is not a requirement.
