French artist in-residence ROSALIE LE FORESTIER performed three unique performances during open studios at ESMOA: Can we Perform Personal Feelings? On Sunday April 30, Sunday May 07, and Sunday May 21, 2017.

Otis GFA open studios took place in the Culver City Studios on Sunday April 9, 2017.

Alum JAMIE GRACE DAVIS ’14 showed her work in the Sweden Pavilion of the first Bombay Beach Biennale in Salton Sea CA from April 14-16, 2017.

Grad KARIM SHUQUEM participated in the HAUNTED MEMORIES EXHIBITION at the Center for the Arts Eagle Rock, curated by artist Carla Jay Harris and filmmaker Erica Mountain, from MAY 11 - JUNE 2, 2017.

Grad JOCELYN CASAS had her MFA Thesis exhibition In the Meantime, Vamos a Jugar at the Bolsky Gallery from May 1st to 7th, 2017.

Alum RANDI GANULIN is one of eight artists commissioned by the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture to create a piece for the 2017 Seattle Center Sculpture Walk! "Indra's Net," will be installed in time for Bumbershoot Arts Festival at Seattle Center, Labor Day weekend, and will be up for 5 months.

Grad KARIM SHUQUEM is in the SOCAL MFA exhibition at Millard Sheets Art Center in Pomona, CA from June 4 – July 1, 2016

Grad ELIZABETH MEDINA is in a three-person exhibition Let's Combobulate at JAUS Gallery from May 5 to June 10, 2017

GFA Professor TODD GRAY is in My Life in the Bush with MJ & Iggy curated by Emily Kuhlmann at MoAD in San Francisco from April 26 to August 27, 2017.

Alums from the Station Collective, TUCKER NEEL’07, MICHELLE ANDRADE ‘07, JOHN WESTON ‘07, LORENZO HURTADO SEGOVIA ’07 and ADAM MARS ’07 mounted a one-night exhibition on Saturday April 29, 2017.

The 20th anniversary exhibition of COLA individual artist fellowships includes GFA professors RENEE PETROPOULOS, JUDIE BAMBER, CAROLE CAROOMPAS and TODD GRAY, at LAMAG April 23 to July 2, 2017.

Alum ERICA STEPHENS ’07 is showing her new paintings and sculpture in a one-person exhibition, The Serpent is Come, at Ro2 Art in Dallas, TX from April 22 to May 20, 2017.

Alum JANET JENKINS ’79 showed her work in a three-person exhibition, Tar Pits, at Redling Fine Art, Los Angeles, CA from March 4 to April 15, 2017.

Alum SOO YUN JUN ’15 is showing her work in the group exhibition More & More in Shin Museum, Chung Ju, Korea in from March 29 till July 1, 2017.

Alum KARMA HENRY ‘10 will be part of a four woman show at the CN Gorman Museum on campus at UC Davis: Great Basin Artists from Apr 4 - Jun 16, 2017.

Alum ELIF ERKAN ’16 is part of Paroxysm of Union from April 9-22 2017 in Athens, Greece. Curated by Kunsthalle Freeport.

Alum ALEC EGAN ’13 had an exhibition Welcome Home, a site specific work at The California Heritage Museum, Santa Monica, March 18-April 21, 2017.

Directed Scores has been conceived by MFA Fine Art and Public Practice Students to be performed in conjunction with the Ana Craycroft exhibitionTuning the Room at the Ben Maltz Gallery. It was performed on April 4, 2017, by grads KIARA ALVARADO, EMILY THORPE, LUCAS MCDANIEL, SHIRIN BOLOURCHI, KARIM SHUQUEM, RAGUBIR KINTISCH, SYDNEY AUBERT, ALEX KAY, DEBORAH ADAMS-WELLES, AUSTYN DE LUGO, SUZANNE JOSKOW, HENDERSON BLUMER, GINA ROSTON, ELIZABETH CARDMAN, YRNEH BROWN, NATHAN GULICK, JOCELYN CASAS, MARK FARINA, KEVIN MAGINNIS, Professor RENÉE PETROPOULOS, and LAUREN VASQUEZ.

Grad YRNEH GABON presented “MEMBA MI TELL YU” (Listen Up, Take Note), an OPERETTA & ART EXHIBITION on April 6, 2017, with a conversation on April 8, 2017, at the Bolsky Gallery from April 4-10, 2017.

Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Art Paris Cergy (ENSAPC) student ROSALIE LE FORESTIER arrived at Otis GFA on March 1 for a three-month exchange residency.

Alum ZEAL HARRIS ‘07 is participating in two group exhibitions: "Personal Matters" opened at El Camino College February 23, and "Echo Location” at Eastside International (EXSLA Gallery) curated by Lisa Soto. GFA professor TODD GRAY is also included in this exhibition.

Alums ZEAL HARRIS ‘07 and LILI BERNARD ‘15 are in an upcoming three-woman show “Sweet Sticky Things” from April 8th-May 6, 2017 at Launch LA in Los Angeles. HARRIS and BERNARD will also participate in a group exhibit opening in Gregorio Escalante Gallery and Zack De La Rocha Gallery on Chung King Road in Chinatown titled, "Iconic: Black Panther”.

GFA Professor JUDIE BAMBER had a one-person exhibition The Old Maid And The Dead Man at GFA Assistant Chair ANNETTA KAPON’S Proxy Paris Gallery at the Galerie Ygrec in Paris from March 16 to April 23, 2017.

Alum MATTHEW CARTER ’10 is in a three-person exhibition Glitter Bold at Jai and Jai gallery in Los Angeles from March 4 to April 1, 2017.

Alum RACHEL WOLFE ’15 had a work (Teknovisuell Experience from Virtual Material) permanently installed in the admissions office at Otis.

Grads AUSTYN DE LUGO and ROBERT BEGLEY were selected to take a workshop at Anderson Ranch Art Center in summer 2017.

Alum SUSAN HOROWITZ ’00 is in a two-person exhibition TEL AVIV: THE WHITE CITY AND BEYOND at AJRCA- Academy of Jewish Religion in Los Angeles from February 12 to May 28, 2017.

GFA professor JUDIE BAMBER took part in the group exhibition Not I, We at Gavlak Gallery on January 28, to April 1, 2017.

Alum JEISUNG OH ’16 was awarded an artist’s residency in the south of France called “ Les ateliers des Arcs” from April to July 2017.

Alum JANET DANDRIDGE ’16 was awarded the 2017 Otis-Cergy Residency exchange and will spend three months in Paris from February to April 2017.

Alum ZEAL HARRIS ’07 has work in “60 Americans II” curated by Terrence Sanders at the new Makeshift Museum in downtown Los Angeles. This group exhibit will continue touring on to New York in the Spring of 2017.
