Alum SCOTT RABY ’12 is currently in residence in Antwerp Begium where he is working on a project at M HKA  with the artist group Jubilee making presentations, organizing workshops, and working on a publication, among other things.  

Alum WAKANA KIMURA took part in the group exhibition NATURAL SELECTIONS at the Brand Library Art Center from May 13 to July 1, 2017.

Alum DONNA PAYTON ’80 has curated a group exhibition Animal Architects that has travelled to different venues in NJ and is now at Monmouth Museum, Lincroft, NJ from May 21 to Sept. 3, 2017.

Alum MARCUS VILLAGRAN ‘77 showed his work in the Smithy Gallery in Cooperstown NY from May 15 to June 18, 2017. 

Alum KATY COWAN ’14 organized a group watercolor exhibition Water and Dreams from May 20 to June 21, 2017 at Chicken Coop Contemporary, in Portland OR

Alum KRISTIN MOORE ’16 has a solo exhibition June 23 - July 21 titled "Ceremony" at the St. Edward's University VISU Gallery in Austin, TX

GFA professor BENJAMIN WEISSMAN had a one-person exhibition  WE NEVER KISSED at The Box Gallery from May 27 to July 8, 2017.

Alum LORENZO HURTADO SEGOVIA ’07 will be showing his new sculptures at CB1 Gallery in September 2017 as part of Pacific Standard Time LA/LA.

Alum ASHTON ALLEN ‘16 is the Director for Angel Art 2017— an art auction to benefit Project Angel Food on June 10th at NeueHouse, Los Angeles.

French artist in-residence ROSALIE LE FORESTIER performed three unique performances during open studios at ESMOA: Can we Perform Personal Feelings? On Sunday April 30, Sunday May 07, and Sunday May 21, 2017.

Alum MARKUS TRACY ’02 mounted a recent installation in Sisseton, South Dakota. The installation was supported by the Sisseton Arts Council and the South Dakota Arts Council.

Grad KARIM SHUQUEM participated in the HAUNTED MEMORIES EXHIBITION at the Center for the Arts Eagle Rock, curated by artist Carla Jay Harris and filmmaker Erica Mountain, from MAY 11 - JUNE 2, 2017.

Grad JOCELYN CASAS had her MFA Thesis exhibition In the Meantime, Vamos a Jugar at the Bolsky Gallery from May 1st to 7th, 2017.

Alum RANDI GANULIN ’96 is one of eight artists commissioned by the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture to create a piece for the 2017 Seattle Center Sculpture Walk! "Indra's Net," will be installed in time for Bumbershoot Arts Festival at Seattle Center, Labor Day weekend, and will be up for 5 months.

GFA Professor TODD GRAY is in My Life in the Bush with MJ & Iggy curated by Emily Kuhlmann at MoAD in San Francisco from April 26 to August 27, 2017.

The 20th anniversary exhibition of COLA individual artist fellowships includes GFA professors RENEE PETROPOULOS, JUDIE BAMBER, CAROLE CAROOMPAS and TODD GRAY, at LAMAG April 23 to July 2, 2017.

Alum ERICA STEPHENS ’07 is showing her new paintings and sculpture in a one-person exhibition, The Serpent is Come, at Ro2 Art in Dallas, TX from April 22 to May 20, 2017.

Alum SOO YUN JUN ’15 is showing her work in the group exhibition More & More in Shin Museum, Chung Ju, Korea in from March 29 till July 1, 2017.

Alum KARMA HENRY ‘10 will be part of a four woman show at the CN Gorman Museum on campus at UC Davis: Great Basin Artists from Apr 4 - Jun 16, 2017.

Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Art Paris Cergy (ENSAPC) student ROSALIE LE FORESTIER arrived at Otis GFA on March 1 for a three-month exchange residency.

Alums ZEAL HARRIS ‘07 and LILI BERNARD ‘15 are in an upcoming three-woman show “Sweet Sticky Things” from April 8th-May 6, 2017 at Launch LA in Los Angeles. HARRIS and BERNARD will also participate in a group exhibit opening in Gregorio Escalante Gallery and Zack De La Rocha Gallery on Chung King Road in Chinatown titled, "Iconic: Black Panther”.

Alum RACHEL WOLFE ’15 had a work (Teknovisuell Experience from Virtual Material) permanently installed in the admissions office at Otis.

Alum AUSTYN DE LUGO ’17 and grad ROBERT BEGLEY were selected to take a workshop at Anderson Ranch Art Center in summer 2017.

Alum SUSAN HOROWITZ ’00 is in a two-person exhibition TEL AVIV: THE WHITE CITY AND BEYOND at AJRCA- Academy of Jewish Religion in Los Angeles from February 12 to May 28, 2017.

Alum JEISUNG OH ’16 was awarded an artist’s residency in the south of France called “ Les ateliers des Arcs” from April to July 2017.

Alum ZEAL HARRIS ’07 has work in “60 Americans II” curated by Terrence Sanders at the new Makeshift Museum in downtown Los Angeles. This group exhibit will continue touring on to New York in the Spring of 2017.
