Alum SHIVA ALIABADI ’14 has a piece in a painting show curated by Angela Willcocks at the University of Redlands Art Gallery from November 17 to December 14, 2015.

Alum RACHEL INDERGAARD ’15 is participating in Omniscient, exhibited in the Asia Culture Center, ACC Creation, in Gwangju, South Korea, as part of Imagining New Eurasia. November 25th, 2015 - July 5th, 2016

GFA Professor RENEE PETROPOULOS has a one-person exhibition Conjugation - Monument 1 at ANNETTA KAPON’S Proxy Paris, at Galerie Ygrec, Paris, France, from Dec 3 2015 to January 23, 2016. 

Alum JAMIE GRACE DAVIS ‘15 had a one-person exhibition Same River Twice (with opening night performance) at Cafeoteque in Paris, France, from November 26 to December 28, 2015

Alum ALEX KROLL, MATT CARTER ’10 and MATT LIFSON ’12 took part in Bloody Red Sun of Fantastic LA curated by Renee Julien Praz at Piasa in Paris, France on November 9, 2015.

Alum BRYAN RICCI ’12  (“Inversions”) had a two-person show with Chris Trueman at John Wolf’s at 4619 Washington Blvd 90016 from October 29 to November 14, 2015.

Alum LUIS G.HERNANDEZ '03 participated in the group exhibition REVISION GLOCAL REVIEW: TJ IN CHINA, at El Cubo, CECUT, Tijuana, from July 10 to September 26, 2015

Alum LUIS G.HERNANDEZ ’03 was a panelist in Art and Activism, part of Founding for the Arts Month at SDAI (The San Diego Art Institute), October 19. 

GFA Assistant Chair’s ANNETTA KAPON’S Proxy Gallery will host a one-person exhibition “This Space Available” by GUY BENNETT from November 1 to December 15, 2015.

Grad REGINE RODE took part in the group exhibition "Idle Upgrade Illusion” at Easy!Upstream in Munich, Germany from September 10 until October 31, 2015.

GFA professor RENEE PETROPOULOS and grad DELIA PEREZ participated in Totally Eastside LA Cholos at Corazón‘s on Saturday October 17, 2015.

Alum LORENZO HURTADO SEGOVIA ‘07 has a one-person exhibition Plegarias at CB1 Gallery from November 7 – December 19, 2015.

Alum MATT LIFSON ’12 took part in a group show “And There Is An End 2” at James Harris Gallery in Seattle curated by Bennett Roberts from October 15 to November 21, 2015.

GFA Assistant Chair’s ANNETTA KAPON’S work is included in the book LAS CIENEGAS PROJECTS published on October 11, 2015

Alum MATTHEW CARTER ’10 was included in young artists to watch by the website goop.com.

Alums ED GOMEZ ’03, and LORENZO HURTADO SEGOVIA ’07 is in in SUR BIENNIAL, organized by TAM Art Museum at Rio Hondo College Art Gallery from October 3 to October 31, 2015. 

Alums SRIJON CHOWDHURY’S ’13 and KATY COWAN’S '13  work is included in the group exhibition Imperceptibly and Slowly Opening at Sector 2337 in Chicago IL, from October 9 to November 21, 2015. Curated by Caroline Picard.

Alum KATY COWAN ’13 has a one-person exhibition “The Studio, the Sketch” at Cherry and Martin Gallery in Los Angeles from November 5 to December 19, 2015. 

 

Alum JENNIFER WOLF ’10 has a solo show “Edge of Miscibility” at William Turner Gallery from November 21, 2015 to January 23, 2016.

Alums CHRIS OATEY ’06 and LORENZO HURADO SEGOVIA ’07 are among 15 artists with strong ties to LA, who use paper as their primary medium and who are included in Paperworks at the Craft and Folk Art Museum (CAFAM), September 27, 2015 through Jan 3, 2015.

Alum LORENZO HURTADO-SEGOVIA '07 will show his work in the group exhibition Fiberlicious at Lamag (Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery) curated by Scott Canty and Carol Shaw-Sutton from October 25, 2015 to January 3, 2016.

Alum ZEAL HARRIS ’07 will be a participant in this year’s fourth Ghetto Biennale in Port Au Prince, Haiti in December 2015.

Alum SHIVA ALIABADI ’14 was in Of Silence, curated by Tilt/Export Oct. 3-December 20th, 2015 at Outpost Projects, Yucca Valley, CA She also curated Uncanny, a show with artists from both Los Angeles and Europe including alum KATY COWAN ’13 from October 17th-November 6th, 2015 at MuzeuMM Gallery at West Adams Blvd, Los Angeles.

Alum KARMA HENRY ’10 exhibited her work in the Coyote III group exhibition at the Maidu Museum and Historic Site in Roseville, CA from September 19 to November 14, 2015.

Alum WENDY GIVEN ’02 will participate in the group exhibition Stilleven at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, from SEPTEMBER 12 – DECEMBER 20, 2015

GFA faculty KORI NEWKIRK is participating in Hard Edged: Geometrical Abstraction and Beyond at the California African American Museum from August 13 2015 to April 24, 2016. 

Alum WAKANA KIMURA ’11 took part in R.S.V.P. LOS ANGELES: The Project Series at Pomona College Museum of Art from September 1 - December 19, 2015. She had a book publishing party at the Pomona College Museum of Art on October 29th 2015. KIMURA also had an opening on November 1st, at the LA ARTCORE in downtown Little Tokyo.

Grad ELIF ERKAN is exhibiting her work in The Social Register at Park View Gallery from 19 September – 7 November 2015. ERKAN also had a one-person exhibition, Standards of Living, at Maison des Arts in Brussels, Belgium, in the context of Europalia, from November 14 to December 19, 2015. Curators: Anne-Cécile Maréchal, Véronique Baccarini.

Alum STEVEN BANKHEAD ’01 and GFA professor RENEE PETROPOULOS took part in Patience, Process, Practice at the Thomas P. Kelly LMU gallery from November 16 to December 7, 2015. Curated by the HRHS Curatorial Practices class.
